Diva (formerly Diva Universal) is an Asian cable and satellite television channel owned and operated by Universal Networks International. It has been available on most subscription television cable and Satellite platforms in East Asia since 1 October 2003.
Hallmark Channel Asia was launched in 1997. Most of the programs were all canned from US, including Oprah and The Biggest Loser. It had four different feeds including the Philippines feed, which was launched on August 19, 2009.
Hallmark Channel Asia ended its broadcast on September 19, 2010, and was replaced by Diva Universal that evening, as part of Universal Networks International's efforts to refocus its network portfolio.
On June 16, 2014, Diva Universal's name was simplified to "Diva".
Most of the programs are imported from the United States including drama, comedy, series, talk shows and reality TV series. Movie programs also air on this channel from the United States, Australia, United Kingdom and Asia.
