It launched on 15 October 2014 at 06:00 MST/SST/HKT (06:15 PST, 05:00 JKT/BKK) by the channel formerly known as Sony Entertainment Television South East Asia for East Asia and BeTV in the Philippines. Sony Channel Asia is a 24/7 English general entertainment channel and it features programmes with Hollywood Entertainment made for female audiences from SPE Networks – Asia, which owns and operates four cable and satellite channels AXN Asia, BeTV, Animax Asia, Sony ONE and Sony GEM, and is part of Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI).
