GEM TV Asia (sometimes referred to as Sony GEM or simply as GEM) is a subscription pay cable and satellite television channel owned by Sony Pictures Television, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. The channel made a debut only in Vietnam on 1 January 2014.

In September 2015, SPT Networks and Nippon Television Network Corporation announced that their joint-venture Asian general entertainment channel GEM will roll out across Asia on October 1, 2015, while the Vietnamese feed will continue to be wholly owned and operated by SPT Networks.

GEM delivers 24-hours of Asian entertainment series, variety and drama programs from across Asia. GEM Asia on Vietnam broadcast programs from South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and is fully localized with Vietnamese subtitiles, voice-overs in contents, advertisements and introductions. Meanwhile, GEM Asia in other countries includes more programs from Japan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. It is the third Asian-content channel launched by Sony after its sister channels, Animax Asia which focuses on Japanese anime and ONE which focuses on South Korean entertainment programming.
