Endless Love (Turkish: Kara Sevda literally Black Love) is a Turkish drama series produced by Ay Yapım that premiered on Star TV on October 14. 2015. The first season consists of 35 episodes, and it was finished on June 15, 2016. The second season premiered on September 21, 2016.
Kemal is a young man who lives in a poor neighborhood of Istanbul. His father Hüseyin is a barber, and his mother Fehime, a housemaker, wishes him, his older brother Tarik and his younger sister Zeynep to be happy.
Nihan is a young woman who lives in another part of the city with her rich family. She has a twin brother called Ozan. Nihan loves her father Önder who always listens to her. Her mother Vildan only looks out for herself.
She wants Nihan to marry a young man named Emir, but Nihan doesn't want to marry him. Kemal and Nihan first met each other on the bus where Nihan draws a picture of Kemal. One month later, on Nihan's birthday, Kemal and his friend Salih found the drawing of Kemal in the mall.
Nihan throws a birthday party where she invites her friends, Yasemin and Emir. During the party, Emir gets jealous of another man dancing with Nihan and hits him. Nihan was angry and she left the party.
She went into her boat and tried to cast off, but the ropes were stuck. When she tries to untie them, she suddenly falls into the water. Kemal saw that Nihan felt and he rescued her. This was the beginning of their relationship.
One day, Emir executes a plan that makes Ozan kill a girl, so that Nihan will marry him. The next day, Kemal proposed Nihan to marry him, but she said no. Kemal was depressed for a while, but after a whine, he moved out from Zonguldak.
Four years later, there was an accident in the mine where he worked. Kemal saved the life of his manager Hakki, who promoted him to be his assistant.
One year later, Kemal comes back to his home town and starts competing with Emir over Nihan.
Kara Sevda gained a lot of popularity internationally and it has been dubbed in multiple languages including Italian, Persian, Spanish, and Arabic. It received a high rating in Turkish countries (especially Azerbaijan), Iran (especially Iranian Azerbaijan), Arab countries, Southeastern Europe (especially Balkans), Latin America (especially Chile, where it has been a complete success). It was aired as Okeea in Iran by the Gem TV due to the commercial purposes.
