Neslihan Atagül (Turkish pronunciation: [neslihɑn ɑtɑʄyl]; born 20 August 1992 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish actress. She studied at Yeditepe University theater department.
Neslihan Atagül was born on 20 August 1992 in Istanbul in Yasar Sene Atagül family. She resided with her family in Istanbul,She has a brother named Ilkay. Neslihan's father was a driver and her mother is a housewife. Her father is of Circassian descent while her mother is of Belarusian descent. During her childhood Neslihan wanted to be an actress and she told her parents about this,At the age 13, Neslihan participated in the Movie İlk Aşk. Neslihan loves to travel and has often visited Europe. She enjoys playing volleyball, swimming, reading, watching movies and horse back riding. Neslihan later studied at Yeditepe University theater department.
At the age of 13 in 2006 Atagül attended her first step to her acting career in the movie İlk Aşk and played Bahar. Her partners were the real stars: Miss World 2002 Azra Akin and Muhteşem Yüzyıl Star Halit Ergenç. Atagül made her acting debut in the television series Yaprak Dökümü with Fahriye Evcen.
In 2011, participated in a psychological drama Araf which is written and directed by Yesim Ustaoglu. The starring cast included Özcan Deniz and Barış Hacıhan. The movie received the highest praise from critics and was presented to the Venice Film Festival. Atagül received The Best Actress Award at the 45th Film Critics Association Awards, 25th Tokyo International Film Festival, Golden Boll Film Festival, Promising Young Actress Award and Moscow Film Festival's Future Now and received Best Actress Award for her role in this movie.
