Özcan Deniz (born 19 May 1972) is a Turkish actor, singer, composer and director of Kurdish descent.
Özcan Deniz was born on 19 May 1972 in Ankara, Turkey. Deniz, who lived in Ankara until the age of five, was originally from Ağrı and Kurdish. During his education, he played in theater plays written by himself and made small local amateur theater clubs with his friends. He also discovered his predisposition to music in those years. While performing his first orchestra work in 1985, he became an orchestra soloist, who is now known in Aydın. When he attended the Traditional Voice Festival in Aydın and got the first prize, his dreams of going to Istanbul started to be formed. He came to Istanbul in 1988 and subsequently went to Germany in 1989. His talent was discovered by a group of producers in Munich, Germany. He made his debut album in 1992 and released the album Ağlattın Beni. With the album Meleğim that he made in 1993, he got his reputation. In 1994, he released Beyaz Kelebeğim. In 1994, he played in the film 'Ona Sevdiğimi Söyle' which is Memduh Ün's movie, one of the doyen of the Turkish cinema. Deniz, who served as a military officer in Turkish Armed Forces during 1995, made a great comeback with the Yalan mı album in 1997 and played in the TV series Yalan mı in the same year. In 1999, he met the television audience again with the TV series Aşkın Dağlarda Gezer which was written by himself. In 2002, he became popular in acting with the legendary TV series Asmalı Konak. Özcan Deniz worked as a director, scriptwriter in the film Ya Sonra? in 2011 and started to be known as a director too. He was the face of Coca Cola during 2015 and 2016 in Turkey.
