Mirabeau B. Lamar High School is a public secondary school located in Houston, Texas, United States.

Lamar High School, was established in 1936 in honored memory of Mirabeau B. Lamar, (1798-1859), a leader in the Texas Revolution for independence from Mexico in 1835-1836, and the second President of the Republic of Texas, 1838-1841.

L.H.S. has a four year program, serving grades 9 through 12, and is part of the Houston Independent School District.

Lamar High, which is located in the Upper Kirby district, serves the Houston neighborhoods of River Oaks and Montrose, the incorporated city of West University Place, a portion of the city of Southside Place, and other Houston subdivisions.

Lamar High has a business magnet program offering business management courses, as well as cooperation with the Houston business community to provide internships and university scholarships.

The high school handles grades nine through twelve. Lamar High School has neighborhood, Advanced Placement, and IB Diploma Programme (International Baccalaureate) programs. Lamar has one of two high school level IB Diploma programs in the Houston Independent School District and, therefore, is one of HISD's seven "IB World Schools". Lamar High School consistently has the greatest number of students who graduate with the IB Diploma in Texas. Lamar offers many International Baccalaureate Diploma classes, including five foreign languages: Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish, and Russian. In 1999, Lamar's IB program was the 14th largest such program in the country.
