Natalia Martínez Streignard Negri (born September 9, 1970) is a Spanish actress who is best known for her work in Venezuelan telenovelas for more than 15 years.
Natalia "Naty" Streignard was born in Madrid to an Argentine mother and a German father. When she was 3 years old, the whole family emigrated to Venezuela, making Natalia a Venezuelan citizen by birth according to Venezuelan law. Before becoming an actress, Streignard was a contestant in the Miss Venezuela 1992 pageant, where she was a finalist. Her acting career started shortly after (in 1992), with starring and supporting roles in several Venezuelan telenovelas.
Some of her most memorable productions have been Pedacito de cielo (Marte TV, 1993), Sol de tentación (Venevisión, 1996), Mi destino eres tú (Televisa, 2000), Mi Gorda Bella (RCTV, 2002), ¡Anita, no te rajes! (RTI, Telemundo, 2004), La Tormenta (RTI, Telemundo, 2005–06) and El Juramento, (Telemundo, 2008). Streignard was slated to be the main heroine in Telemundo's "El Juramento", which was to have started in May 2008. She was also scheduled to be the main heroine in Telefe's "Dulce Ilusiones", which was to have started in August 2008.
On June 10, 1999, Streignard married Cuban actor Mario Cimarro, whom she met in 1998 on the set of "La mujer de mi vida". After being separated, they reconciled. In 2006, Streignard and Cimarro once again separated and then filed for divorce. It was finalized on 14 September 2006. In 2008, she met Donato Calandriello, an Italian businessman. They married on 27 September 2008. They have three children.
