Freshness Burger

Freshness Burger, often referred to simply as Freshness, is a fast food restaurant from Japan. Founded in 1992, it sells hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, and coffee drinks. It advertises itself as "Fresh and Organic," operating under the slogan "Freshness Food, Freshness Serving, Freshness People, Freshness Planet," which is displayed in English. There are several vegetarian items on the menu. It presently operates 189 locations in Japan.

Freshness Burger opened its first shop in Hong Kong on the Tsim Sha Tsui public pier, behind the Hong Kong Museum of Art. It also has branches in Shatin, Citylink Plaza located above the Shatin MTR train station.

On 1 December 2010, Freshness Burger opened its first outlet in Singapore. The opening of the Singapore outlet is also the brand's first store in Southeast Asia. Freshness Burger in Singapore is located at Nex Shopping Mall in Serangoon Central. It has also expanded into Century Square in Tampines, The Central in Clarke Quay and Causeway Point in Woodlands. Since 2012, all stores are closed.

Freshness Burger's menu is divided into nine categories: Classic Burger, Vegetable Burger, Hamburger, Hotdog, Side Order, Dessert, Hot Drink, Cold Drink, and Set Menu.

According to its website, Freshness Burger's burgers are made with "100% real" beef. Its Classic Burger selections include the Classic Burger, Classic Cheese Burger, and the Classic WW Burger. The Classic WW Burger is like the Classic Cheese Burger, except that it contains two beef patties, and double the cheese (the WW indicates double).

Halo Burger, formerly known by its full name Bill Thomas' Halo Burger, is a fast-food restaurant chain based in Genesee County, Michigan owned by Halo Country, LLC. Begun in 1923 as the original Kewpee location and separating from the Kewpee chain in 1967 with two locations, the chain has since grown to seventeen locations in the region.

It is not easy to determine a single founding date for the company because the company evolved from the original Kewpee location opened in 1923 which expanded into a chain before 1944, when Thomas started his business that would later be named Halo Burgers by leasing the original location.

Samuel V. Blair opened Kewpee Hotel restaurant in downtown Flint and expanded to approximately 400 locations by 1939 through licensing the name. William "Bill" V. Thomas started working at Kewpee in 1938. Thomas began leasing the original Harrison Street, Flint location from Blair upon his retirement on April 1, 1944. Blair died in 1945 and Thomas continued to lease the location and pay royalties for use of the Kewpee name from the estate until the Kewpee trademark and Blair estate owned locations went up for sale in 1958. Thomas was able to purchase the Flint location but the Kewpee trademark was sold to Ed Adams of Toledo, Ohio. Thomas expanded with a second Kewpee location downtown Flint with the purchase of Vernor's Ginger Ale building in 1951.

Adams switched from a trademark license of Kewpee to a full franchising arrangement in 1967. Thomas rejected this new arrangement and changed the name of his restaurants to Bill Thomas' Halo Burger. Halo Burgers' first location only under the Halo Burger name opens in 1973 on Linden Road. But during construction, Bill Thomas died that year. In 1976, two more locations join the chain on West Pierson Road and in downtown Grand Blanc at a former Perkins Pancake House. In 1979, the Harrison location was vacated to make way for University of Michigan-Flint parking. The staff of the former Harrison Street location were transferred to a newly opened Halo Burger serving Flint's east side.

The Heart Attack Grill is an American hamburger restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada (formerly located in Chandler, Arizona). It has courted controversy by serving high-calorie menu items with deliberately provocative names coupled with waitresses in sexually provocative clothing.

The establishment is a hospital theme restaurant: waitresses ("nurses") take orders ("prescriptions") from the customers ("patients"). Each patient dons a hospital gown before ordering and those who do not finish their meal receive a paddling by one of the "nurses" with the option to buy the tainted paddle afterwards. The menu includes "Single", "Double", "Triple", and "Quadruple" "Bypass" hamburgers, ranging from 8 to 32 ounces (230 to 910 g) of beef (up to about 8,000 calories (33,000 kJ)), all-you-can-eat "Flatliner Fries" (cooked in pure lard), beer and tequila, and soft drinks such as Jolt and Mexican-bottled Coca-Cola made with cane sugar. Customers over 350 lb (160 kg) in weight eat for free if they weigh in with a doctor or nurse before each burger. Beverages and to-go orders are excluded and sharing food is also not allowed for the free food deal.

The Heart Attack Grill was founded in 2005 in Chandler, Arizona, by Jon Basso, with the declared intent of serving "nutritional pornography", food "so bad for you it's shocking". The idea came when writing a marketing thesis about fitness training studios, as he became inspired by stories about his clients cheating on their diets. A second Heart Attack Grill opened in Dallas, Texas in May 2011, but closed in October 2011.

One of the restaurant's promotions is a reward for customers who finish a Triple or Quadruple Bypass Burger, after which they are placed on a wheelchair and wheeled out to their vehicle by their "personal nurse".
