Burgerville (originally Burgerville USA) is a privately held American restaurant chain in Oregon and southwest Washington, owned by The Holland Inc. As the chain's name suggests, Burgerville's sandwich menu consists mostly of hamburgers, though it also offers chicken and turkey sandwiches, vegetarian burgers, and halibut fish and chips. All Burgerville locations are within an 80-mile (129-km) radius, mostly in the Portland metropolitan area. The chain had annual revenue of around $75 million in 2010, at which time it had 39 locations and about 1,500 employees.

The chain's most significant differentiation is in its use of local ingredients and natural ingredients, such as Tillamook Cheddar in its burgers, and locally grown strawberries in its milkshakes and sundaes. Throughout the year it offers seasonal items such as milkshakes made with hazelnuts, fresh pumpkins, fresh raspberries, fresh strawberries, and blackberries, and side orders such as Walla Walla onion rings, sweet potato fries, tempura-style fried asparagus and Yukon Gold potatoes.

Burgs is an Indian fast food chain that mainly serves gourmet burgers including chicken, lamb, fish, prawn, beef and pork, as well as veggie burgers. It also serves ice cream shakes,iced tea, Orangina, B'lue and soft drinks. It is owned by Mumbai-based Sanjay Kilachand. The first Burgs outlet opened on Waterfield Road, Bandra, Mumbai on 22 March 2012. The decor in Burgs's outlets features plastic chairs, tables, bright lighting and colours.

The restaurant's signature burgers are The Burg and The Big Burg. The Big Burg is made of two buffalo tenderloin patties, with béarnaise sauce and caramelized shoe string onions. The Burg is exactly the same, but is made with a single patty.The Times of India described The Big Burg as the company's "equivalent of the Big Mac". Burgs sells some burgers which are compatible with a Jain diet.

Following the opening of the first outlet in Bandra, Burgs opened two more outlets, one each in Mumbai and Pune. Burgs opened its fourth outlet in Carter Road, Bandra on 21 February 2013. A 1200 sq ft outlet, the fourth in Mumbai and fifth overall was opened in R City Mall, Ghatkopar in July 2013. This was Burgs first outlet in a Mumbai mall. The company plans to have 200 stores in India by 2023.

Burgs' slogan is "Gourmet Goodness". Following the opening of their fifth outlet in July 2013, Gozoop, a cross-functional digital agency, was assigned the company's social media business. Gozoop's task is to amplify Burgs' social presence and brand awareness. Gozoop had previously organized a five-day-long campaign for the opening of the fifth outlet.

Carrols (Finland)

Carrols was a chain of fast-food restaurants in various cities in Finland and Estonia.

The company originally came to Finland as a franchise of an international chain named Carrols Corporation. However, it was eventually completely bought by the Finnish company Tuko which in turn was acquired by the Finnish chain Kesko becoming a completely Finnish-owned company. In the process it was renamed from Carrol's to Carrols, losing the apostrophe.

The most famous hamburger in Carrols was the Club Burger, which was similar to the Big Mac in McDonald's. The chain also regularly served limited-time special hamburgers.

The chain was eventually bought out by another Finnish fast-food chain, Hesburger, which integrated it to itself almost fully. Almost all Carrols restaurants were converted to Hesburgers. This event caused a minor upset among the residents of Helsinki, since Hesburger is based in a rival city, Turku. Since the acquisition by Hesburger, only a few of the most famous Carrols restaurants remained under their original name, all of them located in the Greater Helsinki region (except one in Janakkala and one in Lahti). Although Hesburger serves the Club Burger in its menu, the limited-time special hamburgers have been discontinued.

In August 2006 new life was breathed into the Carrols brand when a pilot scheme was launched with Pikoil, an operator of Neste branded service stations across Finland. The pilot programme saw new Carrols restaurants opening at Pikoil sites in Imatra and Vantaa. One reason for the Carrols brand being used instead of Hesburger was that Hesburger already operates fast food restaurants under its own name at service stations run by the rival S-Group. Along with the launch of new Carrols restaurants, the Carrols.fi domain no longer pointed to the Hesburger site but instead to a relaunched dedicated Carrols site.

Cook Out is an American privately owned fast food restaurant chain in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Mississippi, and Maryland. Founded in Greensboro, North Carolina, the chain has since expanded and now has drive-thru restaurants in over one hundred cities. Most locations consist of a double drive-thru and outdoor seating, while many newer locations also offer traditional indoor seating. The chain itself has grown in size with many locations now spread throughout Virginia.

Cook Out was founded by Morris Reaves. He is currently the owner of the company, with his son Jeremy Reaves serving as CEO. As of December 30, 2016 there are 211 locations.

The restaurant serves grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, North Carolina barbecue, and milkshakes.

The company opened its first out-of-state store in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on July 30, 2010. Cook Out opened in Clemson and Orangeburg, South Carolina, in 2010. Plans are in the works for more expansion in South Carolina and Virginia. At the very end of 2011, Cook Out opened restaurants in Columbia, South Carolina; Blacksburg, Virginia; and Radford, Virginia. In March 2012, Cook Out opened its first location in Lynchburg, Virginia, and shortly thereafter in Harrisonburg, Virginia. 2013 saw new Cook Out locations in Georgia, and in 2014, there are plans to launch several more Georgia Cook Out locations. In 2016, Cook Out expanded into the state of Mississippi with stores in Oxford, Hattiesburg, and Starkville, and the company's first Alabama location located in Tuscaloosa opened in 2016 as well.

Crown Burgers is a small hamburger fast food restaurant chain based in Salt Lake City, Utah started in 1978 by John & Rula Katzourakis and Nick Katsanevas (Rula’s brother).

The chain's is known for its signature burger, the "Crown Burger," a cheeseburger which also includes hot pastrami. Crown Burgers' pastrami cheeseburger has been widely imitated and has become a staple of restaurant cuisine in Salt Lake City. Crown Burgers also carries its own version of the regional condiment fry sauce, a combination of ketchup, mayonnaise and spices.

Their primary location is decorated like a European hunting lodge, complete with a large fireplace. Other locations have a medieval theme complete with tapestries and heavy iron chandeliers.

Crown Burgers has seven Salt Lake City locations.

In 2010, Crown was featured in an episode of Travel Channel's Man v. Food, and was named as serving The Official Best Burgers of Utah in 2011.

The first DQ restaurant was located in Joliet, Illinois. It was operated by Sherb Noble and opened for business on June 22, 1940. It served a variety of frozen products, such as soft serve ice cream.

The company's corporate offices are located in the Minneapolis suburb of Edina, Minnesota.

The soft-serve formula was first developed in 1938 by Douds, Iowa-born John Fremont "J.F." "Grandpa" McCullough (1871‒1963) and his son Alex. They convinced friend and loyal customer Sherb Noble to offer the product in his ice cream store in Kankakee, Illinois. On the first day of sales, Noble dished out more than 1,600 servings of the new dessert within two hours. Noble and the McCulloughs went on to open the first Dairy Queen store in 1940 in Joliet, Illinois. While this Dairy Queen has not been in operation since the 1950s, the building still stands at 501 N Chicago St. as a city-designated landmark. Since 1940, the chain has used a franchise system to expand its operations globally. In the US, the state with the most Dairy Queen restaurants is Texas. Dairy Queen International is the parent company of Dairy Queen. In the United States, it operates under American Dairy Queen. IDQ is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. At the end of its fiscal year 2014, Dairy Queen reported over 6,400 stores in more than 25 countries; about 4,500 of its stores (approximately 70%) were located in the United States. DQ was an early pioneer of food franchising, expanding its 10 stores in 1941 to 100 by 1947, 1,446 in 1950, and 2,600 in 1955. The first store in Canada opened in Melville, Saskatchewan, in 1953. The red Dairy Queen symbol was introduced in 1959. The company became International Dairy Queen, Inc. (IDQ) in 1962. In 1987, IDQ bought the Orange Julius chain. IDQ was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in 1998. Dairy Queens were a fixture of social life in small towns of the Midwestern and Southern United States during the 1950s and 1960s.
