José Sarney Filho, better known as Zequinha Sarney (born June 14, 1957) is a Brazilian lawyer and politician, current Minister of Environment. He is son of the former senator and former president of Brazil José Sarney and brother of Roseana Sarney and Fernando Sarney. On May 12, 2016, Sarney was appointed by Michel Temer, Minister of Environment.
In 1978, Sarney was elected state deputy for the National Renewal Alliance (ARENA). Endorsed João Castelo.
In 1982, Sarney was elected federal deputy for the Democratic Social Party (PDS). Endorsed Luís Rocha.
