The Ministry of Environment (Portuguese: Ministério do Meio Ambiente, abbreviated MMA) is a cabinet-level federal ministry in Brazil. Izabella Teixeira, a career employee of IBAMA, has served as the Minister of Environment since her appointment in May 2010. In May 12, 2016, Sarney Filho was appointed by Michel Temer as Minister of Environment.
