Peravoor is a city in Kannur district of Kerala state in India.

Peravoor is a town located in Kannur district. It is south of Kannur (54 km) and Thalassery (44 km). The nearest city is Iritty. Iritty is 15 km away from Peravoor and located to the north side.

St. Joseph's Forane Church in Peravoor is the first Syro-Malabar church formed under Thalassery Archdiocese. Peravoor is near to the famous Kottiyoor Shiva temple and Sree Mridanga Saileswari Kshethram.

Peravoor is the first place where, the Syro-Malabar (Nazrani / Saint Thomas Christians ) Christian migrants from Kottayam and nearby places occupied during Malabar migration. This community contributed a lot in to the field of education, sports and many basic developments of Peravoor.

Jimmy George (born March 8, 1955 at Peravoor, died November 30 at Italy, 1987) was a professional volleyball player from Kerala, India.He is being considered as the legend of volleyball. He was the first Indian volleyball player to become a professional and played in Italy.
