Lorgues is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.
Lorgues is located in the middle of wineries and fields of olive trees. It is in the center of the department of the Var between the Mediterranean Sea and the Gorges du Verdon. The village centre has a very large open-air market every Tuesday for fish, poultry, meat, fruit, vegetables, pastries, clothes and other products, which is very popular with locals, tourists and residents of other nearby villages.
It is reached via the A8 motorway (20 km away) or the SNCF Les Arcs-Draguignan railway station (12 km); by air, Toulon-Hyères Airport is 45 minutes away, Nice Côte d'Azur Airport 1 hour, and Marseille Provence Airport 1 hour 30 minutes.
