The Eastern Mediterranean conifer-sclerophyllous-broadleaf forests ecoregion, in the Mediterranean forests, woodlands, and scrub biome, is of the eastern Mediterranean Basin.
The ecoregion covers an area of 143,800 square kilometers (55,500 sq mi), and covers portions of Israel, the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey.
Major plant communities in the ecoregion include broadleaf sclerophyllous shrublands (maquis), pine forests (chiefly of Aleppo Pine (Pinus halepensis) and Turkish Pine (Pinus brutia)), and dry oak (Quercus spp.) woodlands and steppes.
