Bautzen (German: Bahnhof Bautzen) is a railway station in the town of Bautzen, Saxony, Germany. The station lies on the Görlitz–Dresden railway and Bautzen–Bad Schandau railway (which is closed between Bautzen and Wilthen). The station is also on the former Bautzen–Hoyerswerda railway.

The former engine shed or Bahnbetriebswerk of Bautzen ("Bw Bautzen") was located at Bautzen railway station towards the railway exit to Löbau/Görlitz and next to the industrial siding of the old Bautzen Coach Works (Waggonbau Bautzen), today Bombardier Transportation.

Since the opening of the Görlitz–Dresden railway in 1846 it had belonged to the Saxon-Silesian Railway Company, which was nationalized in 1851, and from 1922 to the Reichsbahndirektion Dresden. Following the restructuring of the railways after the Second World War, Bw Bautzen was incorporated into Reichsbahndirektion Cottbus.

In 1950, together with the sheds at Löbau and Zittau, trains were still leaving here hauled by locomotives of classes 382–3, 754, 10–11, 755, 9421, as in Saxon state railway times, which were 35 to 45 years old.

Until 14 May 1988 working engines of Class 52 were still stabled here for scheduled services and for use as heating engines.

The station is served by regional and local services, which are operated by Vogtlandbahn and Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn.
