2x2 (read as "Дважды Два" "Twice Two") — the first in the history of USSR and Russian commercial television station, broadcasting which consists mainly of cartoons for all ages (mainly for people from 16 years — at one time the channel has positioned itself as "for children from seven to seventy years"). From 1 April 2007, the Russian Federal channel, focused on teenage and youth audience, which contains about 200 different anime, cartoons and movies.

The TV station claimed the inclusion in the second multiplex of digital terrestrial television of Russia, but it is in the official list were not included.
The channel was established by order of USSR radio and television as a structural unit in the General Directorate of programs (GDP).
