LaSondra Renee Barrett (born March 16, 1990) is an American basketball forward for the Washington Mystics of the Women's National Basketball Association. She went to William B. Murrah High School and played collegiately for LSU. She is the cousin of NFL quarterback Jason Campbell.

Barrett was named to the USA Women's U19 team which represented the USA in the 2009 U19 World's Championship, held in Bangkok, Thailand in July and August 2009. Although the USA team lost the opening game to Spain, they went on to win their next seven games to earn a rematch against Spain in the finals, and won the game 81–71 to earn the gold medal. Barrett scored 6.0 points per game.

She was selected in the first round of the 2012 WNBA Draft (10th overall) by the Washington Mystics.

Brandon Samuel Bass (born April 30, 1985) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Bass was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the oldest of three siblings; he has a brother, Chris, and sister, Dashia. Bass is the son of Charles Joseph and Aretha Bass. Bass was raised by his mother until her death. When he was 10 years old, he witnessed his mother die from a heart attack. Bass and his siblings subsequently moved in with their father but due to not feeling comfortable at their father's home, Bass and his siblings moved in with their aunt, Estelle. While at his aunt's house, Bass was living with his siblings and five of his aunt's children. It wasn’t until he was 13 years old that Bass began playing basketball competitively.

Bass attended Capitol High School in Baton Rouge where he began gaining recognition for his play. By his senior year in 2002–03, he was ranked the seventh best power forward in the nation, the 11th best overall player in the nation, and the third best player in the Southeast by Rivals.com.

While in high school, Bass had a GPA of 2.7 with an ACT score of 14. He graduated as a part of the class of 2003. He received interest from Connecticut, LSU, Mississippi St., Cincinnati, Kentucky, Miami (FL), and USC to join their basketball programs. Of those schools, Bass received offers from Connecticut, LSU, Mississippi St, and USC, ultimately deciding on attending LSU.

Bass also received many honors while in high school, being named a part of the Parade All-American team, EA Sports Roundball Classic Roster, and the McDonald's All-America Game. Bass finished the McDonald's All-America Game with 14 points and 3 assists. While on the McDonald's All-American Team, Bass played alongside the likes of future NBA superstars such as LeBron James and Chris Paul.

Bass joined the Louisiana State Fighting Tigers basketball team in 2003 and played for them until 2005. In his first year at LSU, Bass played 29 games, starting in all of them. As a freshman, Bass averaged 12.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, in 34.9 minutes per game. In his second season, Bass played and started in 30 games, averaging 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 33.6 minutes per game.

Mistie McCray Bass (born December 2, 1983) is an American professional women's basketball player who is currently a free agent.

Bass graduated from George S. Parker High School in Janesville in 2002, having helped the school win the state championship two years in a row. She is the only player in the state to be named Player of the Year three times. She also was elected first team USA Today All-America, second team Parade All-America, second team School Sports All-America, third team Student Sports All-America, two time Wisconsin Gatorade Play of the year and first team All-State. Mistie was selected to play in the Phoenix/WBCA High School All-America game, notching six points and nine rebounds. Bass played in the inaugural McDonald’s All-America game.

She graduated from Duke University in 2006. At Duke, she played for the Blue Devils and was a part of two Final Fours; 2003 and 2006 (Contended in the National Championship game). She finished her career ranking eighth in points (1,409), eighth in field goals made (557), fifth in field goal percentage (.567), fifth in rebounds (800), fifth in blocks (131), eighth in free throws made (295), seventh in free throws attempted (459), eighth in double-figure scoring games (78), first in wins (127) and tied for fourth in ACC regular season wins (55). She was also a member of Zeta Phi Beta sorority.

During the 2006 WNBA Draft, Bass was originally selected by the Phoenix Mercury but was later traded to the Houston Comets. In her first season Bass played sparingly, averaging 10.1 minutes per game, behind all-stars Sheryl Swoopes, Tina Thompson and Dawn Staley. During 2007 and 2008, Bass continued to play as a reserve forward for the Comets, wearing jersey number 8.

After the Comets disbanded in the fall of 2008, Bass was selected by the Chicago Sky as the third pick in the dispersal draft for former Comets players.

Shane Courtney Battier (born September 9, 1978) is an American retired professional basketball player who played for various teams of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also been a member of the U.S. national basketball team.

Battier was born and raised in Birmingham, Michigan, and attended Detroit Country Day School in nearby Beverly Hills, where he won many awards including the 1997 Mr. Basketball award. He went on to play four years of college basketball at Duke, where he captured the 2001 National Championship and swept the major National Player of the Year awards. Battier was selected with the sixth overall pick of the 2001 NBA draft by the Vancouver Grizzlies (who soon became the Memphis Grizzlies). He was traded five years later to the Houston Rockets, and was then traded back to the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2010–2011 NBA season. He signed with the Miami Heat in 2011. His number has been retired by both Detroit Country Day School and Duke University. He has been recognized for his aggressive defense and has "routinely guarded the league's most dangerous offensive players". He is the only basketball player to have ever won both the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award (1997) and the Naismith College Player of the Year (2001). Battier won two NBA championships with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013.

Jerryd Andrew Bayless (born August 20, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played a year of college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats after playing high school basketball at St. Mary's High School in Phoenix, where he scored a career-high 52 points in a loss to eventual state champions, Mesa Mountain View. He was selected 11th overall in the 2008 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers and then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.

As a freshman at Arizona in 2007–08, Bayless led the Wildcats in scoring (19.7 points) and assists (4.0) while averaging 2.7 rebounds on 45.8% shooting (40.7% 3-point shooting) in 35.7 minutes in 30 games. He became the first freshman in school history to lead Arizona in scoring, as well as the first freshman to win team MVP honors since Sean Elliott did so in 1985–86. He earned multiple awards including All-Pac-10 second team and All-Freshman honors, First Team All-District honors by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), named Honorable Mention All-America by The Associated Press, and was a finalist for the Wooden Award. The Wildcats finished the regular season with a 19–14 record (8–10 in the Pac-10), making it through to the first round of the NCAA tournament where they lost to West Virginia. On April 5, 2008, he declared for the NBA draft, forgoing his final three years of college eligibility.

Bradley Emmanuel Beal (born June 28, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Florida Gators before being selected by the Wizards with the third overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft.

Beal attended Chaminade College Preparatory School in St. Louis, Missouri. He competed in the 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship for the USA, which won the championship with Beal averaging 18 points per game. During his senior year of high school, Beal averaged 32.5 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game and 2.8 assists per game. At the end of Beal's senior season, he was named the 2011 Mr. Show-Me Basketball which recognized him as the top high school basketball player in the state of Missouri. He was also named the 2011 Gatorade National Player of the Year. According to ESPNU recruits, Beal was the fourth ranked recruit and second ranked shooting guard; he was also the fourth ranked recruit according to Rivals.com.

On November 30, 2009, Beal committed to the University of Florida. Beal accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the university, where he played for coach Billy Donovan's Florida Gators men's basketball team during the 2011–12 season.

In his first game at Florida, Beal started and recorded 14 points. Beal was named SEC Freshman of the Week on November 28, 2011. During the week of 11/21–11/28, Beal averaged 8.5 points, seven rebounds, two assists and 1.5 steals in two wins over Wright State and Jacksonville. Beal would go on to win five additional SEC Freshman of the Week honors and be named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and was a first-team All-SEC selection. Beal finished the season averaging 14.8 points per game.

Beasley later moved on to play AAU ball for DC Assault's 17 & Under team, playing alongside such players as future KSU teammate Ron Anderson, Nolan Smith (Duke), Chris Wright (Georgetown), Austin Freeman (Georgetown), and Julian Vaughn (Georgetown).

Chane Xavier Behanan (/ʃeɪn bəˈhænən/ shane buh-HAN-en; born September 24, 1992) is an American basketball player for the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA Development League. Behanan, who won an NCAA title at Louisville, was going to transfer to Colorado State to redshirt the 2014–15 season but instead declared for the 2014 NBA draft in which he subsequently went undrafted.

Behanan was born and mostly raised in Cincinnati, growing up in a troubled inner city neighborhood infested by the drug culture; one of his older brothers had been arrested on drug charges. He indicated in a 2012 interview that his time in that neighborhood drove him to succeed in basketball:

I just have to stay at it. In my family, I think I'm just the last person left that can make something happen. If it ain't me, it's nobody."

During his childhood, the family home was destroyed in a fire, and he, his mother, and four siblings moved in with one of his grandmothers. Behanan's mother eventually decided that inner-city Cincinnati was not a good place for him, and used family connections to send him to Bowling Green, Kentucky before his junior year of high school. In his senior season at Bowling Green High School, he averaged 23.3 points and 14.4 rebounds.

Jonathan Bender

Jonathan Rene Bender (born January 30, 1981) is an American retired professional basketball player who played for the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). After playing 78 games for the Pacers in 2001, knee injuries limited him to a combined 76 games over the next four seasons. He played 25 games for the Knicks in 2009 before calling it a career.

Bender was selected with the fifth pick by the Toronto Raptors in the 1999 NBA Draft out of Picayune Memorial High School in Picayune, Mississippi despite a verbal commitment to Mississippi State University. The Raptors then traded Bender to the Indiana Pacers for Antonio Davis. Being hyped for his size, athleticism and all around skill, Bender scored 10 points in 13 minutes against Cleveland on December 10, 1999. He became the first high school draftee to score in double figures in his NBA debut, which was an instance repeated only two other times (four if you expand the range to those that played in the league while still being 18 years old at the time of their debuts). However, Bender had been plagued by expectations and injuries ever since he arrived in Indiana. Meanwhile, the Raptors who defeated the Pacers a few times since then would go on to the make the playoffs three times in a row in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Highlights of Bender's career have included an outstanding performance in the Pacers' 2004 playoff series with the Celtics, where he led the Pacers in scoring in game 3, and set personal playoff career bests in rebounds and minutes in game 2. In 2001, Bender participated in the Slam Dunk competition during All-Star weekend, where he executed a Julius Erving-style tomahawk jam from the free throw line, left-handed.

Playing in 78 games in the 2001-02 season, he signed a four-year, $28.5 million contract extension. However, the next few years were plagued by injuries. He played in only 46 games the following season, then 21 games in the season after that. A persistent sore right knee limited him to just seven games in 2004-05 and two games in 2005-06. He was waived by the Pacers on June 14, 2006. At that point, he had averaged 5.6 points in 237 career regular season games. In 2005, Bender was rated by Sports Illustrated as #11 on the list of the 20 biggest busts in modern NBA draft history.

Lenard Benoit Benjamin [be-NOYT] (/bəˈnɔɪt/; born November 22, 1964) is an American retired professional basketball player who was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1st round (3rd overall) of the 1985 NBA Draft. A 7'0" center from Creighton University, Benjamin played for nine NBA teams in 15 seasons from 1985-2000.
