LaMarcus Nurae Aldridge (born July 19, 1985) is an American professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The power forward played college basketball for two seasons at the University of Texas. Aldridge was selected second overall in the 2006 NBA draft. After spending nine seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, he signed with the Spurs in 2015. He has been selected to four All-NBA teams and is a five-time NBA All-Star.

Aldridge attended Seagoville High School, where he became a second-team Parade All-American and Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) Class 4A Player of the Year.

Considered a five-star recruit by Rivals.com, Aldridge was listed as the No. 4 center and the No. 16 player in the nation in 2004.

Aldridge attended the University of Texas. He declared for the 2004 NBA draft but ultimately withdrew his name. According to one report, Aldridge's initial decision to attend college rather than entering the pro ranks directly from high school was influenced by Shaquille O'Neal's personal advice that he should go to college and then evaluate his NBA prospects. However, in April 2006, near the end of his second year at UT, Aldridge announced that he would leave college to enter the 2006 NBA draft.

Aldridge was drafted second overall in the 2006 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls, only to have his rights traded to the Portland Trail Blazers for their pick, Tyrus Thomas, and Viktor Khryapa, shortly after. The Bulls acquired the pick from the New York Knicks in the 2005 Eddy Curry trade.

Cliff Alexander (born November 16, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Long Island Nets of the NBA Development League. He completed his freshman season at the University of Kansas for the Jayhawks' on their 2014–15 team. He declared himself eligible for the 2015 NBA draft but was undrafted.

He played in high school at Curie High School in Chicago where he won Naismith and Mr. Basketball USA recognition as national player of the year. He did not play organized basketball until eighth grade, but by late in his freshman season he became a notable contributor to his high school's varsity team. He was ranked among the top 20 prospects in the national class of 2014 prior to his sophomore season. As a junior, he moved into the top 10 of the national class and was recognized as an All-American. By the beginning of his senior season, he was considered to be a top 5 player by most talent evaluators and his stock was still on the rise. Following a Martin Luther King Day performance during his senior year against the number one team in the country, many experts considered him to be the best player in the national class of 2014.

In 2013, he represented USA Basketball in international play. Several talent scouts praised his powerful game. As a high schooler, Alexander felt he was most often compared to Amar'e Stoudemire. He was also contrasted with crosstown rival Jahlil Okafor, especially as a senior when they vied for national attention. Alexander was heavily recruited by many top Division I basketball programs and his recruitment was widely followed. He played in the 2014 McDonald's All-American Boys Game, 2014 Jordan Brand Classic and the 2014 Nike Hoop Summit, earning co-MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic. Alexander led Curie to the 2014 Chicago Public High School League city championship in a quadruple-overtime game against Okafor that was the lead story on SportsCenter. The championship was later forfeited. As a freshman with Kansas, he did not play in the latter part of the season after the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) launched an investigation into his eligibility.

Cory Lynn Alexander (born June 22, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player.

After a career at the University of Virginia (having graduated with a degree in psychology), Alexander was the 29th overall selection of the 1995 NBA Draft, chosen by the San Antonio Spurs. He played for the Spurs, the Denver Nuggets, the Orlando Magic and, after a three-year absence from the NBA, the Charlotte Bobcats. His NBA career averages include 5.5 points and 2.7 assists per game. He later became a commentator for the ACC Network (Raycom Sports). Grayson James Allen (born October 8, 1995) is an American college basketball player for Duke University.

Allen was selected as a McDonald’s All-American in 2014, out of Providence School in Jacksonville, Florida, where he won a state championship in 2013. He won the McDonald's All-American Slam Dunk Contest, jumping over future Duke teammate Jahlil Okafor.

During Allen's freshman season, he averaged 4.4 points per game and was named to the ACC all-academic team.

Allen became a major contributor in the playoffs. On April 7, 2015, he played in the 2015 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship Game, scoring 16 points, including 8 straight. After the game, Allen was cited as one of the main reasons for Duke's win by commentators. Coach Mike Krzyzewski agreed, saying, "We were kind of dead in the water. We were nine points down and Grayson just put us on his back."

During the 2015–16 season, Allen was one of the best offensive players in the ACC, averaging 21 points per game and shooting 43% from three-point range.

Entering his junior season, Allen was considered one of the top returning players in college basketball. He was named to the Associated Press preseason All-America team and was the ACC media's pick as preseason ACC Player of the Year.

Allen received national attention for intentionally tripping Louisville's Raymond Spalding on February 8, 2016; an ESPN.com article asked if he was “the next hated white Duke player.” In the second game against Louisville that season, he was elbowed in the head while scuffling for a ball on the ground and later received a technical and ejection for yelling at a referee following his fifth foul on a charge call. On Thursday, February 25, 2016, in the closing seconds of a 15-point win against FSU, Allen tripped FSU's Xavier Rathan-Mayes. A day later, Allen received a reprimand from the ACC for his second tripping incident in less than a month.

Lindsay Allen (born March 20, 1995) is an American professional basketball guard for the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She played basketball at the University of Notre Dame. Allen was drafted in the second round (14th overall) of the 2017 WNBA Draft by the Liberty.

Allen was drafted early in the second round by the Liberty but she was the final cut as the Liberty cut down their roster to the limit. Because she was cut, she was able to finish her final week of college and participate in the graduation ceremonies. Before she could even unpack she got a call from the liberty asking her to return to the team. Brittany Boyd had sustained an injury and would be out for the season. Bill Laimbeer, the Liberty coach was surprised that Allen hadn't been claimed by another team so was happy to have her back on the team.

Lindsay Allen has signed to play with Dynamo Moscow for the 2017-18 season.

Harold Tommy Amaker (/ˈæməkər/; born June 6, 1965) is an American NCAA Division I college basketball coach and the head coach of the Harvard University men's basketball team. He has also coached for the University of Michigan and Seton Hall University. He played point guard and later served as an assistant coach at Duke University under Mike Krzyzewski. An All-American player, Amaker set numerous records and earned many honors and awards. He took Seton Hall to the post season in each of his four seasons as their coach, helped Michigan win the National Invitation Tournament the year after a probationary ban from postseason play, and had the three highest single-season win totals in the history of Harvard basketball, the school's first five Ivy League championships and first NCAA tournament victory.

Amaker was a high school basketball McDonald's All-American and a Parade All-American. As a college basketball player, he set most of the assists records and many steals records for Duke basketball. He also set the Atlantic Coast Conference single-season games played and games started records. Among his numerous accolades, he was the first winner of the NABC Defensive Player of the Year, and he was a third team All-American.

Khalid El-Amin (born April 25, 1979) is an American professional basketball player who last played for BG Göttingen of the Basketball Bundesliga. He was a member of the 1999 University of Connecticut men's basketball team that won the NCAA championship. He is originally from Minnesota where he played for North High School in Minneapolis. In 2000, he was selected in the 2nd round by the Chicago Bulls of the NBA Draft and played 50 games for them, averaging 6.3 points and 2.9 assists per game.

After leading Minneapolis North HS to three straight state titles and being named a McDonald's All-American, the three-time Minnesota State Player of the Year and 1997 Minnesota Mr. Basketball was named Big East Conference Rookie of the Year while being second in the team in scoring (16.0) and setting the UConn single-season scoring record for a freshman.

As a sophomore, El-Amin was the starting point guard on their team that won the 1999 NCAA Championship game thriller over Duke. In the final game he scored the Huskies' final 4 points in their 77-74 victory.

In 2000 El-Amin led the Huskies in scoring (16.0), assists (4.4) and steals (1.7) and was named to the All-Big East first team. He was also one of 15 finalists for the Naismith Award and set a Big East record by making 93.4 percent of his FTs in league games. El-Amin scored a collegiate career-high 34 points in a 75-70 loss to the University of Notre Dame on January 5, 2000, which ended the UConn Huskies' 10-game winning streak.

He left UConn as fourth all-time at the school in FT percentage at 82.2, sixth all-time in assists and fifth in steals. His averages per game in his final season are 31.9 minutes, 16.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 2.7 turnovers, 1.7 steals, makes 2.9 of 5.5 field goals (41.1%) and 4.1 of 4.6 free throws (89.2%). He finished his college career with averages of 30.1 minutes, 15.3 points on 41.6% shooting and 82.2% free throws, 3.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.7 turnovers and 1.7 steals.

Al-Farouq Ajiede Aminu (born September 21, 1990) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays internationally with the Nigeria national basketball team. Aminu was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2010 NBA draft with the eighth overall pick.

Aminu went to Norcross High School and was ranked as one of the top college recruits in the nation from the class of 2008. He was ranked #7 in the nation by Rivals.com and #13 by Scout.com.

Aminu transferred to Norcross between his freshman and sophomore years from Wesleyan School but was ruled ineligible and had to play on Norcross' JV team his sophomore year. In his junior year, Aminu and teammate Gani Lawal led Norcross to a 30–3 record and a #12 national seed. Aminu averaged 13.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in his junior year. He led Norcross to back to back Georgia 5A state titles in 2007 and 2008. He averaged 23.1 points and 11.2 rebounds a game as a senior. Norcross finished 29–2 and ranked #6 in 2008. Aminu was a member of the 2008 McDonald's All-American Team and played in the Jordan Brand Classic where he had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Aminu committed to Wake Forest in July 2007 and in November 2007 Aminu signed a Letter of Intent to play basketball at Wake Forest. He chose Wake Forest over Georgia Tech.

As a freshman during the 2008–09 season, he was a unanimous selection for the ACC All-Freshman Team. Aminu posted 10 double-doubles on the year, including five in conference action. He led all freshmen and ranked sixth in the ACC with 8.3 rebounds per game. Aminu was also second among all league rookies with 13.0 points per contest.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, Anderson graduated from Roth High School in Dayton. He played for the University of Kentucky 1978–1980, scoring 13 PPG on 50FG%. From 1981–1982 he played for University of Southern California scoring 20 PPG on 40FG%.

Anderson was selected by the Washington Bullets in the 2nd round of the 1982 NBA draft. He played one season for Denver Nuggets during 1982–83. Anderson also spent several seasons in the Continental Basketball Association with the Ohio Mixers, Albuquerque Silvers, Cincinnati Slammers and Evansville Thunder.
