Eric Walfred Anderson (born May 26, 1970) is a retired American basketball player. He attended St. Francis DeSales High School on Chicago's far southeast side and was named 1988's Mr. Basketball for the state of Illinois.

Anderson was named Most Outstanding Player of 1992 NCAA Tournament's West Regional after helping lead Indiana University to the Final Four. He completed his college career with 1,715 points and 825 rebounds.

After his college career, the 6' 9" forward, who was not selected in the 1992 National Basketball Association Draft, signed with the New York Knicks for the 1992–93 NBA season, in which he played 16 games. He also played 11 games of the following season before being waived. He holds NBA career averages of 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds per game, and was an all-time 2-for-2 from the three-point line.

During his tenure with the Knicks, Anderson, who spent most of the time on the bench, was cheered for wildly by New York fans when inserted in the final minutes of a 114–79 blowout against the Boston Celtics.

In January 1994, while a member of the Knicks, Anderson and Harold Ellis of the Los Angeles Clippers got involved in a seemingly bizarre shoving match at Madison Square Garden. As the two players ran downcourt, Ellis threw a forearm for no apparent reason into Anderson's face. They exchanged shoves, and were both given technical fouls. Anderson later said of Ellis: "He was going crazy," and "I've never been involved in anything like that. I just got in the game. I'm a good guy. I have no idea why it happened."

James Lee Anderson (born March 25, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Darüşşafaka of the Turkish Basketball Super League and the Euroleague. He played college basketball at Oklahoma State University. In 2010, Anderson was named Big 12 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year and a first team All-American. He was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 20th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

Anderson attended Junction City High School in Junction City, Arkansas. As a senior in 2006–07, Anderson led the Dragons to the Arkansas Class 2A state championship, scoring 43 points in the title game. Anderson was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Arkansas and named to the McDonald's and Parade All-American teams.

Considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, Anderson was listed as the No. 10 small forward and the No. 32 player in the nation in 2007.

Anderson chose Oklahoma State University and made an immediate impact, scoring 29 points in his first collegiate game, a 104–48 win over Prairie View. Anderson would continue his strong play, averaging 13.3 points per game. He was named honorable mention All-Big 12 selection and a member of the Big 12 All-Rookie team.

James Anderson continued to progress as a sophomore, raising his scoring average to 18.2 points per game and surpassed the 1,000 career point milestone in just his second year. He was named Academic All-Big 12 and a second team All-Conference pick.

Kenneth "Kenny" Anderson (born October 9, 1970) is an American retired basketball player. After a college career at Georgia Institute of Technology, he played point guard professionally from 1991 to 2006, mostly in the National Basketball Association.

Anderson was born in Queens, New York City. As a 16-year-old high school sophomore, the LeFrak City, Queens native who attended academic and athletic powerhouse Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, Queens, was considered one of the best basketball prospects in America. Collegiate recruiters began scouting Anderson in sixth grade and he was on the front page of the New York City sports section when he was 14.

By the end of his high school career, he was a four-time Parade All-American, a feat not accomplished since Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar), and the first player to be named All-City four times. He was a McDonald's All-American, was named New York State Mr. Basketball by the New York State Coaches Organization, and named High School Basketball Player of the Year by Gatorade, the New York State Sportswriters Association, Parade, Naismith, and USA Today Despite his coach, Jack Curran, benching him for the first quarter of all of his games during his freshman year at Molloy, Anderson set the all-time state record for scoring in New York, with 2,621 points. This record stood until 2004, when Lincoln High School guard Sebastian Telfair eclipsed the mark late in his senior season. He was considered the No. 1 player in the country, over such notables as Jimmy Jackson and Shaquille O'Neal.

Nelison "Nick" Anderson (born January 20, 1968) is an American retired professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association for thirteen years.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Anderson played high school basketball at Simeon Career Academy where he was named "Illinois Mr. Basketball" for 1986 after leading his team to the city championship and a top national ranking in USA Today.

Anderson would go on to play at the University of Illinois for two years before joining the Orlando Magic in a career that would also include stints with the Sacramento Kings and the Memphis Grizzlies. He currently serves the Magic in several off-the-court functions and was elected to the "Illini Men's Basketball All-Century Team" in 2004.

Anderson attended the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign for two years, playing on the team that reached the NCAA Final Four in 1989; that Fighting Illini team was given the nickname "Flyin' Illini" by Dick Vitale. Among Anderson's teammates were Kendall Gill, Stephen Bardo, Kenny Battle, Lowell Hamilton, and Marcus Liberty; all of these except Hamilton would go on to play in the NBA.

Anderson left school and entered the NBA draft in 1989, where he was selected with the eleventh pick of the first round by the Orlando Magic. As the Magic were an expansion team that season, Anderson was the first draft pick in the franchise's history.

Kyle F. Anderson (born September 20, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins. In his sophomore year in 2013–14, he was an all-conference player in the Pac-12 Conference and earned All-American honors.

Anderson developed the ball-handling skills of a point guard at an early age, but his height provided him the versatility to play as a forward. As a high school player in New Jersey, Anderson led his teams to two consecutive state titles, and was named state player of the year during his senior year. One of the top recruits out of high school, Anderson was named All-Pac-12 second team while playing mostly at forward in his freshman year with UCLA. The following season, he moved to point guard, and was voted the Most Outstanding Player of the Pac-12 Tournament as the Bruins won their first conference tournament title in six years. He declared for the 2014 NBA draft after his sophomore year, when he was selected in the first round with the 30th overall pick by San Antonio.

Anderson was born in New York City, and grew up in New Jersey in North Bergen before moving to Fairview while in high school. He started playing basketball the day he started walking, which was three days before his first birthday. He attended his first basketball camp at age three. Anderson's father, a longtime high school basketball coach in New Jersey, groomed him to be a point guard. Although Anderson was tall, his father did not want him to be "pigeonholed" as a post player. He had his son play with older players on Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) teams; usually the smallest player on the court, Anderson developed point guard skills early while passing to his larger teammates.

Carmelo Kyam Anthony (born May 29, 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Anthony attended Towson Catholic High School and Oak Hill Academy before playing college basketball at Syracuse. In Anthony's freshman season, he led the Orangemen to their first and only National Championship and was named the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Anthony then entered the 2003 NBA draft where he was selected with the third overall pick by the Denver Nuggets.

Since entering the NBA, Anthony has been named an All-Star nine times and an All-NBA Team member six times. While playing for Denver, he led the Nuggets to the playoffs every year from 2004 to 2010, winning two division titles in that span. In 2009, Anthony led the Nuggets to their first Conference Finals appearance since 1985. In 2011, he was traded from Denver to the New York Knicks just days prior to the NBA trade deadline. On January 24, 2014, against the Charlotte Bobcats, Anthony set the Madison Square Garden and Knicks' single-game scoring record with a career-high 62 points.

Born in Berkeley, California, Jayne has two older brothers, Mike and Tommy, and one younger brother, Nate. Jayne's father, Joseph Appel, played basketball at Saint Mary's College of California.

Appel was a four-time letter winner in basketball at Carondelet High School in Concord, California. She was also a three-year letter winner in water polo.

As a senior, Appel was a McDonald's All-American as a senior and named MVP of the All-American game. She was named Gatorade State Player of the Year in basketball, rated as the 3rd best in the high school class of 2006 by hsgirlshoop.scout.com and named a WBCA All-American. She played for the U18 women's national team at the FIBA Americas.

She was offered scholarships by Connecticut, Tennessee, Duke, USC, UCLA, and Stanford, eventually accepting Stanford's offer.

As a freshman at Stanford Appel averaged 13.2 ppg and 7.5 rpg off the bench. She was named the 2007 Pac-10 conference freshman of the year. As a sophomore, she averaged 15.0 ppg and 8.8 rpg. She scored 16 points and pulled down 5 boards in the 2008 national championship against Tennessee, which Stanford lost 64–48. Appel was named first team All-Pac-10 after the season.

Keith Damon Appling (born February 13, 1992) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League. He played college basketball for Michigan State University.

Appling played high school basketball at Pershing High School in Detroit. In 2009, as a junior, he led his team to win the Michigan High School Athletic Association Class A Basketball Championship. During the title game, he set a MHSAA Championship Game record by scoring 49 points. The next year, as a senior, he was the Mr. Basketball of Michigan award winner. At the end of his high school career, he was considered a high level recruit and was the 34th ranked player using the RSCI (Recruiting Services Consensus Index) rankings. In his senior campaign, Appling averaged 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. He was selected to play in the 2010 McDonald's All-American Boys Game during which he scored 10 points.

As a freshman at MSU, Appling averaged 6.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, while shooting over 41% from three-point range. In his sophomore year, he averaged 11.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He earned All-Big Ten third team honors while leading the Spartans to the Big Ten regular season and tournament championship. In his junior year, he started every game and lead the Spartans in scoring with 13.4 points a game and assists with 3.3 per game while earning All-Big Ten second team honors. In his senior year, he averaged 11.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.

After going undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft, Appling joined the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2014 NBA Summer League. On September 23, 2014, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, but was later waived on October 20. On November 1, he was acquired by the Los Angeles D-Fenders as an affiliate player of the Lakers. On March 7, 2015, he was traded to the Erie BayHawks in exchange for the returning player rights to Cleveland Melvin. In 38 D-League games in 2014–15 (28 for Los Angeles, 10 for Erie), Appling averaged 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 24.4 minutes per game.

Darrell Antwonne Arthur (born March 25, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks for two seasons where he was part of the 2007–08 national championship team. He was originally drafted by the New Orleans Hornets in the 2008 NBA draft but after two trades, he ended up with the Memphis Grizzlies, with whom he signed on July 8, 2008. He is listed at 6'9", 235 lb (107 kg) and plays the power forward position.

Arthur is the first cousin of fellow basketball player Quinton Ross.

In high school, Arthur guided South Oak Cliff High School to back-to-back Texas 4A state titles in 2005 and 2006 and was the tournament's MVP both years. He went on to earn McDonald's All-American and third-team Parade All-American honors in 2006.

Arthur's uniform number in college was 00, making him the first Jayhawk to wear that number since Greg Ostertag. Following his freshman season in 2006–07, he was named to the Big 12 All-Rookie team.
