Zheleznodorozhny (Russian: Железнодоро́жный; German: Gerdauen; Lithuanian: Girdava; Polish: Gierdawy or Gierdawa), prior to 1946 known by its German name Gerdauen, is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Pravdinsky District of Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, located 93 kilometers (58 mi) southeast of Kaliningrad, near the border with Poland. Population: 2,767 (2010 Census);2,945 (2002 Census);3,246 (1989 Census).
