XYLO (stylised as XYLØ) is an American electronic music duo consisting of lead vocalist and songwriter Paige Duddy and songwriter and musician Chase Duddy. They are best known for their debut single, which was self-released through NoiseTrade, entitled "America", released in February 2015. This single eventually became the lead single of their debut extended play under the same name, which was released in February 2016.

The duo's career mainly started in February 2015, when they began to get well-known on the internet. They made an explosive internet success when they released their debut single, entitled "America". The song was self-released and was promoted through Hype Machine and NoiseTrade on 23 February 2015. The song was uploaded onto YouTube through music promoter "Mr.SuicideSheep" where it got most of the attention. The song eventually made it onto the top 10 of the Hype Machine chart and was debuted on American radio through KCRW. The song also managed to gain 250,000 views and streams on YouTube in under a week.

In June, their debut single reached nearly 1 million streams on YouTube. They also released their second song, entitled "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea", on June 4, 2015.

In mid-June, the duo announced that they were producing and writing more music, which was to come soon. Then, in July 2015, they announced and premiered their third song, entitled "Afterlife", which was released on July 22, 2015 and premiered through Apple Music.

In September 2015, they featured as special guests on Oh Wonder's live show in Los Angeles, making it their first ever headline show with another artist.

In October 2015, they released their fourth song, entitled "L.A. Love Song", which was released on October 7, 2015. A month later, they announced that they were going to be taking a break and working on producing more music. The duo, during their live shows, also got signed to Sony Music Entertainment.

Going into 2016, the duo had embarked on a number of their own live shows as well as working on new music to what was eventually going to become their debut extended play. Eventually on 19 February 2016, they announced their fifth single "Bang Bang" and was premiered through Apple Music. This came with the announcement of the extended play, under the title America, and that all of their singles released so far were going to be on the extended play.
