The imprint releases 35 to 40 peer-reviewed books a year in 11 languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. Authors published by Wharton School Publishing have included Howard Moskowitz, Philip Kotler, Peter Drucker, C.K. Prahalad, Russell L. Ackoff, Jerry I. Porras, Henry Mintzberg and Kenichi Ohmae.

Wharton School Publishing distributes its titles through the Safari Books Online e-reference service.

The Wharton School imprint is directed by Tim Moore and Jerry Wind. The Editorial Board of Wharton School Publishing comprises the 24 faculty members charged with finding both book ideas and new authors. Titles are vetted by "a cross-disciplinary group of the School's senior faculty members [who] know who is breaking new ground... and [can] differentiate between what is truly thought leadership vs. the latest 'fad' thinking." The editorial board ensures all manuscripts and materials meet Wharton's standard by addressing important topics with ideas and insights that are relevant, empirically based, timely, conceptually sound, and implementable in real decision settings.
