The western nicator (Nicator chloris) is a species of songbird in the family Nicatoridae. Its very similar to the Eastern Nicator but the sides of the face and crown are olive green, its best identified by its range and some vocolisations. It inhabits well established secondary growth forest from 700-1850m.

It is found in Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical swamps.
