Timberwood Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bexar County, Texas, United States. The population was 13,447 at the 2010 census, up from 5,889 at the 2000 census. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Timberwood Park is bordered by U.S. Route 281 to the east, by the city of San Antonio to the south, and by Cibolo Creek, forming the border with Comal County, to the north. Via US-281, Timberwood Park is about 22 miles (35 km) north of downtown San Antonio.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 21.07 square miles (54.6 km2), of which, 21.02 square miles (54.4 km2) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km2) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5,889 people, 2,002 households, and 1,721 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 309.5 people per square mile (119.5/km²). There were 2,065 housing units at an average density of 108.5/sq mi (41.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 90.25% White, 1.10% African American, 0.46% Native American, 1.09% Asian, 4.33% from other races, and 2.77% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 20.26% of the population. The area submitted a petition signed by more than 4,100 residents to the City of San Antonio seeking immediate annexation - a ploy to get permission from the Texas Legislature to incorporate under Texas Statutory law.
