Suzhou Railway Station (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Sūzhōu zhàn) is a railway station of Jinghu railway and Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway. The station located Suzhou, Jiangsu, China.
The station opened in July 16, 1906. The station's area was only 205 squared metres.
On May 1936, the station changed "Wuxian Railway Station" due to Suzhou changed Wuxian (吴县)). On December 1937, the station changed again what is "Suzhou Station" due to the Japanese Invasion.
Since July 1, 2010, Shanghai–Nanjing Intercity Railway has been in operation, Suzhou to Shanghai takes only 24 minutes.
Suzhou Railway Station has 8 trains from this station to Shanghai and Ganzhou.
Z85/86 (now changed D385/386) was direct train from Suzhou to Beijing South. The route revoked in 2011 due to operation of Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway. At weekends will drive temporary train from this station.
As of 2008, the station is being renovated and rehabilitated, renovation completion date is uncertain. However, a future Public Bus Hub and connection to future Suzhou Rail Transit Lines 2 and 4 (under construction) is in the plan.
