Suisun City (/səˈsuːn/ suh-SOON) is a city in Solano County, California, United States. The population was 28,111 at the 2010 census. The city takes its name from the adjacent Suisun Bay, which in turn is named for the Suisunes, an indigenous tribe of the area.
Suisun City is located at 38°14′42″N 122°1′1″W / 38.24500°N 122.01694°W (38.244863, -122.017048).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.2 square miles (11 km2), of which 4.1 square miles (11 km2) is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 km2) (1.39%) is water.
The city is adjacent to Suisun Marsh, at 84,000 acres (34,000 ha) the largest contiguous estuarian marsh remaining on the west coast of North America.
According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Suisun City has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate, abbreviated "Csb" on climate maps.
