Soliera is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Modena. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 14,056 and an area of 51.1 square kilometres (19.7 sq mi).
The municipality of Soliera contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sozzigalli, Castello di Sozzigalli, Secchia, Limidi, and Appalto.
