Bomporto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northeast of Modena. As of 31 December 2010, it had a population of 9,748 and an area of 39.1 square kilometres (15.1 sq mi).
