Smuggler is a film, TV, commercial, music video and theatre production company founded in 2002 by Patrick Milling Smith and Brian Carmody. It has been awarded ‘Production Company of the Year’ by several leading commercial industry magazines and award shows over the past few years, including 2010 by Creativity magazine and has been awarded the Palme d'Or three times (including most recently in 2015) at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

Amongst the commercials Smuggler has created is the "Pretty" advertisement directed by Ivan Zacharias, starring Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova, which won two Gold Cannes Lions in 2007, and the Whopper Freakout Campaign directed by Henry Alex Rubin. Whopper Freakout sparked numerous parodies, won the Cannes Lions Film Gold and Cannes Lions Integrated Lion in 2008, and as of January 2008, the 7 1⁄2 minute video at Whopperfreakout.com has received more than 1.3 million views.Psyop won an Outstanding Commercial Emmy Award for Coca-Cola 'Heist' in 2009 and Brian Beletic was nominated in the same category in 2010 for Nike 'Human Chain.' In 2010, Henry-Alex Rubin's Best BuyTwelpforce campaign won the Titanium Grand Prix. 2011 saw Ringan Ledwidge’s Puma commercial ‘After Hours Athlete’ with agency Droga5 win the Cannes Lions Film Craft Grand Prix and the company was awarded its second Cannes Lions Palme d'Or. The Fox NFL commercial "It's Good to Have a Ring" directed by Renny Maslow won a Sports Emmy in 2011. Randy Krallman's Newcastle "If We Made It" featuring Anna Kendrick made the top spot of AdWeek's 10 Best Ads of 2014.Under Armour's integrated effort starring Gisele Bundchen out of agency Droga5, "I Will What I Want," won the Cyber Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions in 2015. Most recently, Henry-Alex Rubin's Gatorade "Made in NY" spot featuring Derek Jeter was nominated for the Best Commercial Emmy.
