Rugby Klub Bratislava - Skola Rugby is a Slovakian rugby club based in Nove Mesto, Bratislava, created in 2015. They currently play in the Slovak league, and participate in friendly matches with Austrian, Czech, and Hungarian teams.
The team plays at the Slovan football area, and wears black and green, which are the colours of the city of Nové Mesto.
Rugby Klub Bratislava – Skola Rugby je slovenský ragbyový klub, sídliaci v mestskej časti Bratislava – Nové Mesto. Klub vznikol v roku 2015. V súčasnosti pôsobí v slovenskej lige. V priateľských zápasoch sú jeho súpermi tímy z Rakúska, Česka a Maďarska.
Klub sídli na bratislavských Pasienkoch, v susedstve futbalového štadióna Slovana. Klubovými farbami sú čierna a zelená.
The club was established in 2015 as 'Rugby Skola v Bratislave', although the name changed to 'Rugby Klub Bratislava' a few weeks after due to legal obligations. The creators of the club, Charles Cimetiere and Christopher Bush, are initially involved to develop the sports association. Furthermore, Alexandre Bargeron develops the clubs training facilities and acquires equipment.
Klub vznikol v roku 2015 ako „Rugby škola v Bratislave“. Z právnych dôvodov sa však už o niekoľko týždňov názov zmenil na „Rugby Klub Bratislava“. Zakladatelia klubu, Charles Cimetiere a Christopher Bush, sa od začiatku venujú najmä športovej stránke a rozvoju asociácie. Tréningové priestory a výbavu má na starosti Alexandre Bargeron.
The club currently provides support to any rugby team who needs additional players for friendly matches and tournaments. The club is expected to establish a full squad shortly to participate in league matches and tournaments independently. The club welcomes and accommodates both native Slovaks and expatriates with a variety of playing experiences. The club emphasises that prior rugby experience is not necessary to join. As Bratislava is the capital city of Slovakia and member of the EU, it attracts investment from Europe and beyond. This explains the diversity of nationalities representing the club at present.
V súčasnosti klub poskytuje hráčov iným tímom, ktoré potrebujú doplniť súpisku na svoje priateľské zápasy či turnaje. Po naplnení zostavy RKB plánuje hrávať ligové zápasy a turnaje samostatne. Za klub nastupujú Slováci i hráči zo zahraničia. Herná úroveň sa rôzni, klub prijíma i nových členov bez predošlých herných skúseností. Medzinárodný charakter tímu je dôsledkom väčšieho počtu zahraničných spoločností v Bratislave, ktorá je hlavným mestom členskej krajiny EÚ a preto priťahuje investície spoza hraníc.
