Redford is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Saranac in Clinton County, New York, United States. The population was 477 at the 2010 census.
Redford is in the southern part of the town and is west of Plattsburgh. It is within the Adirondack Park.
Redford is located along the southern border of the town of Saranac at 44°36′24″N 73°48′31″W / 44.60667°N 73.80861°W (44.606552, -73.808596). It is on the north side of the Saranac River, which flows east to Lake Champlain. New York State Route 3 passes through the village, leading east 21 miles (34 km) to Plattsburgh and southwest 28 miles (45 km) to Saranac Lake.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the Redford CDP has a total area of 1.5 square miles (3.8 km2), of which 1.4 square miles (3.5 km2) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.3 km2), or 7.45%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 512 people, 178 households, and 137 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 374.3 per square mile (144.3/km²). There were 183 housing units at an average density of 133.8/sq mi (51.6/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 99.02% White, 0.20% Asian, 0.39% from other races, and 0.39% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.39% of the population.
