Portugal selected their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 through the 2007 edition of "Festival da Canção", the national selection final, on 10 March 2007. This edition had 100% televoting instead of the previous year's 50%-50% mix with a jury. Composers were contacted to write one song each, although the identities of the performers of the songs were to be decided by the composers.

The host of Festival da Canção was Pavilhão Atlântico, and the winner was Sabrina with the song "Dança comigo".

Sabrina was the 17th song performed at the semifinal, held on May 10, and finished in 11th place with 88 points, failing to qualify to the final by 3 points.
