Nava Telangana Praja Party

Nava Telangana Party (NTPP) was a political party in Andhra Pradesh, India. The party was founded by Tulla Devender Goud to achieve separate statehood for Telangana. According to the party the people of Telangana were being treated as second class citizens, due to lack of drinking water for in spite of having two major rivers (Krishna and Godavari) flowing in the region.

NTPP intended to contest the 2009 Andhra Pradesh assembly election in all constituencies of the Telangana districts (Hyderabad, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Adilabad, RR, Karimnagar, Warangal, and Medak) together with like-minded parties with the objective of creating a separate Telangana state.

Devender Goud announced the new party (NTPP) on July 11, 2008 in Hyderabad, along with flag, and its symbol.

NTPP flag consists of a Telangana state regions map surrounded in blue color. Blue color was chosen to reflect rivers around the regions of Telangana state and also reflects the color of bird Indian roller (pala pitta bird in Telugu language) which is regarded as most auspicious to watch on the occasion of Dasara festival by the people of Telangana .
