Multiplaza is a chain of shopping malls, owned by Grupo Roble of El Salvador, in Central America. The first Multiplaza Mall opened in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in 1990 as part of the expansion plan Central of Grupo Roble. Additional Multiplaza locations opened in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama. After several years Grupo Roble decided to create another chain of malls similar to Metrocentro CC. In present-day most of the Multiplaza Malls are the most modern in the countries they are located in; holding some of the most exclusive international brands. Also part of an remodeling plan the Multiplaza Malls are adding Gap, Banana Republic, and Guess stores.
And the most ambitious project of Grupo Roble a city within a city was built (in the first phase) in 2004 Panamericana Multiplaza located in San Salvador, El Salvador, which has the commercial centers and a tower of luxury apartments. In terms of its choice of shops are: Adidas, Nike, Mango, Sears, Cinepolis, Starbucks, Lacoste, Benetton, Guess, Pierre Cardin, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfiger, Aldo, Nautica, Gap, Banana Republic, Armani Exchange, Victoria's Secret, Converse, Hush Puppies, Crocs, Forever 21, Rolex, Apple Store, La Senza, LongHorn Steakhouse, Red Mango, Cold Stone Creamery, Ruby Tuesday, etc. Also Multiplaza Panamericana, is the biggest Multiplaza, and it will also hold the two tallest buildings in Central America (excluding Panama). These buildings are called El Pedregal each one with the height of 106 m (348 ft) and 28 floors, Multiplaza Apartamentos.
