Mudinepalli is a village in the Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh in India.
Mudinepalli is located at 16°24′00″N 81°07′00″E / 16.4000°N 81.1167°E. It has an average elevation of 7 metres (26 feet). It is in the Indian Standard Time Zone.
As of 2011[update]Census of India, the town had a population of 6,463. The population makeup is 3,280 males, 3,183 females and 543 children, in the age group of 0–6 years. The average literacy rate stands at 77.85% with 4,608 literates, significantly higher than the national average of 73%.
Mudinepalli was known as Mudi Naagula Palli in earlier days. The village derives its name from the sanskrit words 'Mudi' which means old,'nāgá' which means snake (or cobra), and 'palli' which means village. The name also relates to Nāgá Devatha, a Hindu Goddess. In its history, Mudinepalli has seen almost every variety of Indian species of snake, which manage to survive in this southern region of India.
Mudinepalli is the location of the first English Medium School Little Flower School in Krishna District. It was established in 1968 by his Honor the late Sri B.S.S.S.Prasada Rao garu.
The first Government Junior College in Mudinepalli Mandal (Mudinepalli district), was established in 1997.
The village is well connected via National Highway 214 and the State Highways. Frequent transportation facilities are available to Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, Bhimavaram and Tirupathi. There are also numerous buses to Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam which pass through on their routes.
