Meydan Chay Rural District (Persian: دهستان ميدان چائ) is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population (including Malek Kian, which was subsequently detached from the rural district and promoted to city status) was 51,733, in 13,066 families; excluding Malek Kian, the population in 2006 was 50,667, in 12,797 families. The rural district has 22 villages.
