Mörschwil is a municipality in the Wahlkreis (constituency) of Rorschach in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Mörschwil is first mentioned in 811 as Maurini vilare. In 1389 it was mentioned as Mörswile.

Mörschwil has an area, as of 2006, of 9.9 km2 (3.8 sq mi). Of this area, 59.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while 22% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 18.2% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.6%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes).

The municipality is located in the Rorschach Wahlkreis. It is located on the cantonal road from Rorschach to St. Gallen between the Steinach and Goldach rivers. It consists of the village of Mörschwil and many scattered hamlets and individual houses.

The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Gules a Griffin passant Or.

Mörschwil has a population (as of 31 December 2015) of 3,561. As of 2007, about 7.2% of the population was made up of foreign nationals. Of the foreign population, (as of 2000), 66 are from Germany, 32 are from Italy, 40 are from ex-Yugoslavia, 20 are from Austria, and 55 are from another country. Over the last 10 years the population has grown at a rate of 13.4%. Most of the population (as of 2000) speaks German (96.7%), with Albanian being second most common ( 0.6%) and French being third ( 0.4%). Of the Swiss national languages (as of 2000), 3,013 speak German, 14 people speak French, 12 people speak Italian, and 3 people speak Romansh.
