LaCoste is a city in Medina County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,119 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,255 people, 416 households, and 338 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,954.0 people per square mile (757.1/km²). There were 466 housing units at an average density of 725.6/sq mi (281.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 79.60% White, 1.43% African American, 1.20% Native American, 0.40% Asian, 14.02% from other races, and 3.35% from two or more races. In 2000 LaCoste was the place in the United States with the highest percentage of its population reporting Alsatian ancestry, with 7.1% of the population reporting Alsatian ancestry.
