Jeannie Hsieh (Chinese: 謝金燕; born December 25, 1974) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter, dancer, actress, and model. She is known for writing and performing music which combine techno and hip-hop, often in Taiwanese Hokkien, but sometimes mixed with Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. The music video for Hsieh's 2013 single "Sister" (姐姐) has been viewed over 22 million times on YouTube.
On 14 May 2016, Hsieh announced during her concert in Taiwan that she will take a break from show biz due to family issues. In the mean time, she'll be taking care of her mother and won't be in Taiwan. In March 2017, Hsieh and her father, entertainer Chu Ke-liang, declared an end to a long-running feud between them both, and that they had apologised to one another.
