Inspector Gadget is a Canadian-American CGI-animated television series produced by DHX Media. It is a sequel to the original series, which aired from 1983 to 1986. The show was announced on June 11, 2013, with 26 episodes. The show debuted on January 3, 2015 on Boomerang in France and officially premiered on Teletoon in Canada on September 7, 2015.
When Dr. Claw is thawed out of an iceberg and reactivates MAD, Inspector Gadget is brought out of retirement and is back on the beat to stop Claw once again, but this time, with Penny and Brain officially by his side. A new character in this series is Dr. Claw's nephew, Talon, on whom Penny has a crush. The series is more comical than the original with Dr. Claw being portrayed as less sinister than before.
Part 1-Inspector Gadget has finally defeated the cruel Dr. Claw and frozen him in an iceberg in the Arctic north. However, his evil nephew Talon thaws him out and infiltrates HQ, posing as an agent in training. Meanwhile, Penny has become an agent in training and now has Brain as her assistant. The Chief then calls her to meet Talon, who is the agency's new recruit and Penny instantly falls in love with him.
