Hypoptychus dybowskii, the Korean sandlance, is a species of hypoptychid fish found in shallow salt water off the coasts of Japan and Sakhalin (Russia) as well as possibly occurring in South Korea and China. It is a commercially important species where it occurs. This species grows to a length of 10 centimetres (3.9 in) TL. This species is the only known member of its genus.

Like sticklebacks, it feeds on small invertebrates and fish larvae. Also like sticklebacks, it produces a sticky secretion from its kidneys when breeding. The parent uses the secretion to attach the eggs to sargassum.
