The anthem was adopted after a contest held by the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea (parliament) on February 26, 1992. It was officially adopted on October 18, 2000.
The anthem is currently used by both the Republic of Crimea (federal subject of Russia) and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea claimed by Ukraine.
Nivy i gory tvoi volshebny, Rodina,
Solntse i more tvoi tselebny, Rodina.
Etu zemlyu my sokhranim
I vnukam ostavim tsvetushchiy, kak sad, Krym,
Tsvetushchiy, kak sad, Krym!
Zori svobody tebya sogreli, Rodina,
Brat′ya-narody tebya vospeli, Rodina.
Etu zemlyu my sokhranim
I vmeste, krymchane, proslavim v vekach Krym,
Proslavim v vekach Krym!
Slav′sya, Krym!
Your fields and mountains are magical, Motherland
Your Sun and Sea salubrious, Motherland.
This land we preserve
And grandchildren leave a blooming garden, Crimea,
Blooming garden, Crimea!
Dawn's freedom you have warmed, the Motherland,
Brotherhood people you sang, Motherland.
This land we preserve
And together, Crimeans, will glorify the centuries, Crimea,
Glorify the centuries, Crimea!
