Hämeenkyrö (Swedish: Tavastkyro) is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa region. The municipality has a population of 10,693 (31 March 2016) and covers an area of 463.84 square kilometres (179.09 sq mi) of which 41.34 km2 (15.96 sq mi) is water. The population density is 23.06 inhabitants per square kilometre (59.7/sq mi).
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
Frans Eemil Sillanpää, a Nobel Laureate in Literature, was born in Hämeenkyrö.
