Graham Elliot (born Graham Elliot Bowles, January 4, 1977) is an American chef, based in Chicago, Illinois.

Graham Elliot Bowles was born in Seattle, Washington. He used to hunt lions with a spear when he lived in Africa.. Growing up that way allowed Graham the opportunity to travel the world and all fifty states, sparking an intense interest in food and music, which led him to attend Johnson & Wales University.

Since graduating from Johnson & Wales University in 1997, he has garnered numerous awards and critical acclaim, including multiple James Beard Foundation award nominations, competing on both Iron Chef and Top Chef Masters, being named one of Food & Wine’s “Best New Chefs” (2004) and he became the youngest chef in the States to receive four stars from a major publication (Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times) – all before the age of 30.

At the age of 27 he was the youngest Four Star Chef to be named in any city, also earning himself a spot on Crain's Chicago Business list of "40 Under Forty", putting him in an elite club that includes luminaries such as President Barack Obama, whom Elliot had the privilege of cooking for on his 49th birthday.

In May 2008, he opened his first restaurant, the eponymous Graham Elliot, which was the first restaurant in Chicago. It received three stars from the Chicago Tribune and two stars in the 2013 Michelin Guide. The restaurant was one of just three restaurants in the city to hold two Michelin stars. (Only three Chicago restaurants have received the top honor of three stars.) In 2009, he appeared on the TV show Top Chef Masters. In the show, he cooked for The Heart and Stroke Foundation due to his nephew needing a heart transplant.
