Euterpe catinga is a palm species in the genus Euterpe. It is found in forests of a dry, sandy soil and very peculiar vegetation, known as catinga forests in northern South America (Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil).
Two varieties are recognized:
