The Penang State Legislative Assembly is the state legislature of the Malaysian state of Penang. It is a unicameral institution, consisting of a total of 40 elected lawmakers representing single-member constituencies throughout Penang.

The unicameral state legislature, whose members are called State Assemblymen, convenes at the Neoclassical Penang State Assembly Building at Light Street in George Town, Penang's capital city. Since 2008, State Legislative Assembly proceedings have been broadcast live on the internet.

The State Legislative Assembly has 40 seats, 29 of which are held by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) ruling coalition that comprises the Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR). Out of the 29 PH seats, the DAP has 19 seats and PKR holds the remaining 10. Meanwhile, the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) of the Barisan Nasional (BN) opposition coalition controls 10 seats. Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS), another opposition party, holds the one remaining seat.
