Coahoma (/kəˈhoʊmə/ ka-HO-ma) is a town in Howard County, Texas, United States. The population was 831 at the 2010 census.
Coahoma is located at 32°17′47″N 101°18′17″W / 32.29639°N 101.30472°W (32.296443, -101.304738).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, 932 people, 354 households, and 261 families resided in the town. The population density was 774.9 people per square mile (299.9/km²). The 388 housing units averaged 322.6 per square mile (124.8/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 90.77% White, 0.54% African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 6.97% from other races, and 1.29% from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 23.82% of the population.
Of the 354 households, 37.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.2% were married couples living together, 11.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.0% were not families; 24.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 3.13.
