Blessphemy...of the Peace Beast Feastgiver and the Bear Warp Kumite is the third album by the Noise Rock band An Albatross. It was released June 27, 2006 on CD (Ace Fu Records) and LP (Gold Standard Labs). LP preorders also came with a slipmat featuring the album's artwork by Seripop.
The majority of material was composed with newest percussionist and Brooklyn native, Edward Klinger, during rehearsal sessions in a basement studio Park Slope, Brooklyn in late 2005. Analog tracking was done at Don One studios, renowned staple amongst the reggae community, in Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY and later mixed by Michael Pecchio.
The musical direction broke away from the No Wave "synth-punk" styling of 2003's We Are The Lazer Viking and strove toward a more intricate progressive rock and psychedelic rock hybrid, citing influences such as Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Naked City, Mr. Bungle, King Crimson, DMBQ, Goblin, Deep Purple, and Carcass.
