The men's 800 metres at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics was held at the London Olympic Stadium on 5, 6, and 8 August.
After a moderately paced first lap, Pierre-Ambroise Bosse (France) took the lead entering the final turn, and retained it to win. Adam Kszczot (Poland), also coming from the back of the group, sprinted past Kipyegon Bett (Kenya) with ten metres remaining to take second place.
